# PenaltyStatus

> How much of a penalty is still owed.

`written_off` is a separate answer from `settled` on purpose: nothing was paid,
somebody decided it would not be.

## Values

| Value | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `outstanding` | Nothing has been settled against it. |
| `partially_settled` | Some of it has been settled; `outstanding` is what remains. |
| `settled` | Fully settled. |
| `written_off` | Forgiven. Nothing is owed and nothing was paid. |

## In Maat

The published set is exactly Maat's own `DeveloperPenaltyStatus`. A member added to one and not the other fails our build.
