# HouseRuleKind

> How a house rule reads on a listing page, which decides how to offer it.

## Values

| Value | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `permission` | Has two polarities — "Pets allowed" / "No pets" — so both answers say something. |
| `requirement` | Shown only when answered, and has no negated form. Leaving it unanswered is not a policy. |

## In Maat

The published set is exactly Maat's own `HouseRuleKind`. A member added to one and not the other fails our build.
