# HoldReleaseReason

> Why a hold ended, and therefore what to do about it.

The two are opposite
instructions, which is why `calendar.released` is one event with a reason rather
than two events nobody would remember to handle both of.

## Values

| Value | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `expired` | Nobody bought the nights. They are sellable again. |
| `converted` | A booking took the nights. They are gone, and `booking_reference` names it. |

## In Maat

The published set is exactly Maat's own `PartnerHoldReleaseReason`. A member added to one and not the other fails our build.

## Where it appears

**Fields**

* `CalendarReleasedPayload` · `reason`
